2023 Dodge Durango GT Premium at Dave Sinclair Ford

The 2023 Dodge Durango GT Premium delivers a deeply satisfying driving experience, blending poised composure with confident power delivery.

Enthusiasts who notice the subtleties of steering response, throttle mapping, and ride quality will appreciate what this SUV brings to daily driving. The Durango is tailored for families who want more than just transportation-it's for those who enjoy the nuances of a well-tuned chassis and value a cabin that stays quiet and composed even on Missouri's variable roads. The all-wheel drive system and heated amenities ensure year-round comfort and traction, making it a compelling choice for those navigating unpredictable weather while still craving a rewarding drive.

Performance is a highlight, thanks to the 3.6L V6 24V VVT engine paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission. Throttle response is immediate and linear, making merges and passes effortless, even with a full load of passengers or cargo. The transmission shifts smoothly and intuitively, always keeping the engine in its optimal power band. The AWD system distributes power confidently, enhancing grip in wet or slick conditions. The Durango settles quickly after bumps and stays composed in corners, offering a controlled ride that feels both substantial and agile for its class. With an EPA-estimated 18 city and 25 highway MPG, it balances spirited driving with practical efficiency.

Safety technology in the Durango is engineered to support the driver's confidence rather than override it. Adaptive cruise control with stop maintains smooth following distances, while lane departure warning plus and full-speed forward collision warning plus step in only when needed, letting skilled drivers stay engaged. Advanced brake assist provides strong, reassuring stopping power, and the rear-view camera with ParkSense Front/Rear Park Assist with Stop makes low-speed maneuvers and tight parking stress-free without dulling the driving connection. Multiple airbags and LATCH points in both rear rows further support family security without compromising driving enjoyment.

Inside, the GT Premium trim surrounds the driver and passengers with thoughtful features. Heated seats in the first and second rows, a heated steering wheel, and tri-zone automatic climate control ensure comfort regardless of season. The 10.1-inch touchscreen anchors a high-tech cockpit, integrating Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and a 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot for seamless connectivity. Second-row captain's chairs and a mini console enhance passenger comfort, while the Alpine premium audio system with nine speakers and subwoofer transforms every drive into a rich sensory experience. The power liftgate, wireless charging pad, and GPS navigation add further convenience.

Compared to the Ford Explorer and Honda Pilot, the Durango GT Premium sets itself apart with more responsive handling, a refined V6 engine, and a premium cabin experience.

Can this SUV accommodate multiple car seats? Absolutely-the Durango offers LATCH anchors in both the second and third rows, making it easy to secure several child seats for growing families. Does it feel stable and comfortable on long road trips? Its suspension tuning and cabin isolation keep fatigue at bay, even after hours on the highway.
